Welcome to the Dufferin Centre

The Dufferin Rural Heritage Community Centre  (D.R.H.C.C.) is owned and operated by the Acton Agricultural Society who hosted the official opening during the Acton Fall Fair in September 2007.  The concept and fruition of this spectacular indoor sports field would not have been possible without the tremendous support of the Town of Halton Hills,  Dufferin Aggregates, Purity Life Health Products, David and Elyse Chapman and of course the Acton Agricultural Society and it’s many dedicated volunteers.  The plaque presentations in our lobby acknowledge and honour these as well as the many additional local businesses/individuals from the Town of Halton Hills and beyond.

The D.R.H.C.C. houses a permanent 21,000 square foot artificial turf, 3 offices, a meeting room (suitable for up to 30 people), large foyer and viewing area.  The location is easily accessible in picturesque Prospect Park adjacent to Fairy Lake and Acton’s historical downtown core.  With ample parking the Centre is a bustling building of activity for many community events, sports and programs.

The D.R.H.C.C. is home to the Acton Agricultural Society and the Acton Soccer Club,  as well as the very popular Acton Fall Fair held annually every September.   Throughout the fair the Centre traditionally houses both homecraft exhibits,  and entertainment.

The indoor turf facilitates soccer leagues from the Acton Soccer Club, the Georgetown Soccer club as well as surrounding area soccer clubs, lacrosse clubs, football, rugby, and baseball teams.  Weekday mornings are reserved for the “DROP INTO DUFFERIN” program for public use in promoting active living in our community.

We are happy to promote our facility as a safe and climate controlled environment for any and all sports and activities that benefit from uninterrupted space with a 40 foot ceiling.
